The lobby of the Kursaal Auditorium and Zurriola beach ended up setting the stage for Spencer Tunick, who managed to get 1,200 people – far exceeding all ecpectations – to take their clothes off.

Face-up, face-down, backwards and forwards ... the New York photographer looked for the most unusual shapes, forms and textures inside the emblematic building.

The Kursaal resounded with applause when Tunick told the crowd that the first shot was finished.
